11:00pm and quiet

Where
where are you now Athena
As I am so
very alone
You and Japhy
on that over stuffed plane
breathing stale air
While I
sit creekside
in the sun
to have my
first beer
I've only the girl
on the beer can
to accompany me
and the smell of you
in memory
You,
not to worry
I can make it
on my own
Without you helping
my every decision
I have
a pizza pretzel
and beer
and the sun
in my face
and the sound of the creek
at my side
I have
heartburn on my hands
and
and, grease around the corner
and that was the end of
my pen
Good night Athena

Good Morning Dale! Thanks for the lovely poem. I too, wish you were by my side. By the way, our laptop is working.
